If you have a few hours to spare at the Thessaloniki airport a visit to the Museum of Byzantium Culture is the perfect place to spend them. The museum is very rich with artefacts with very good information given in English. The permanent exhibition is an excellent place to learn about Byzantium, history in this part of the world and religion. Highly recommended.
